Jaclyn Smith took to Instagram to share a heartwarming three-generation photo of herself, son Gaston Richmond, and his daughter, Wren Jaclyn Richmond. She held her namesake granddaughter close, making it easy to spot their resemblance from the photo.
Fans thought it was an adorable post and soon flooded Jaclyn’s comments with kind words. “Someone looks like her grandma,” a follower wrote with a heart emoji. “I can see her grandmother in her features! So cute!” another agreed.

Jaclyn broke the news of her grandchild’s birth in April last year with a video featuring herself and baby Jaclyn’s parents. The footage documented when the child’s mother, Bonnie Lane, went into labor until after delivery when the Charlie’s Angels actress held her new granddaughter.

Jaclyn also adores her other grandkids, Bea and Olivia, who “visit her all the time.” The 78-year-old loves her role as a grandmother and the bond she shares with the little girls. A few years back, she posed for People magazine with one of her granddaughters, who matched the pink theme with Jaclyn.
Jaclyn’s life as a grandma
As someone who maintained a close relationship with her grandfather, Jaclyn values the importance of generations in a child’s life. She endeavors to be present by making memories and joining the little girls for tea parties and other fun activities. “The love that you have for your children, it’s like ‘Oh my God. But this is even bigger — there are no words. I was thrilled to become a grandma,” she said after welcoming Bea in September 2016.
For Jaclyn, having your children give birth to theirs is a “different” experience. “It’s hard to explain with grandchildren. It’s like you need an extra chamber in your heart. In many ways that grounds you, because you look beyond yourself, it’s no longer just about you,” the actress gushed. “You know you’d give it all for them.”
