Frank Fritz is known for co-hosting the popular reality television series American Pickers alongside Mike Wolfe. The show, which premiered on the History Channel in 2010, follows the duo as they travel across the United States searching for valuable antiques and collectibles. Fritz’s expertise in evaluating the historical significance and monetary value of various items was one of the factors that contributed to the show’s success.
Despite his career wins, the 58-year-old has had his fair share of troubles as he has faced addiction issues, bankruptcy, medical challenges, and controversies, which marked his exit from the show as he wasn’t on good terms with Mike. In a new turn of events, Fritz was recently spotted making a notable public return months after his health setbacks.
Frank Fritz makes a rare public appearance
In early November of last year, Fritz was captured on camera in a photo while enjoying time with friends at the Iron Horse Social Club, a pub and restaurant located in Savanna, Illinois.

Despite the limited details available about the outing, a series of images uploaded to his Facebook page featured him seated in a wheelchair — most likely as a result of the stroke he suffered in 2022 — surrounded by friends as they share smiles.
Frank Fritz’s outing is his first since he suffered a stroke
Fritz’s recent public appearance marked a significant milestone, being his first since his former co-host Wolfe, whom he had a fallout with, gave an update about his health and his stroke diagnosis in 2022. “I have been very private in the past year in regards to Franks life and the journey he’s been on. There have been many opinions regarding mine and Frank’s friendship and the show, but now is not the time to set the record straight. Now is the time to pray for my friend,” Wolfe wrote on Instagram. “Frank has suffered a stroke and is in the hospital. Please keep him in your hearts and thoughts. Frank, I pray more than anything that you make it through this okay. I love you, buddy.”
Since he experienced a decline in his health status, Fritz, who had previously undergone back surgery in 2020, has chosen to maintain a discreet presence, prioritizing and concentrating on his recovery journey.
