For almost a century, Macy’s has held eventful parades to celebrate Thanksgiving, with thousands of people tuning in to watch the elaborate performances. This year, the event will feature local dancers, gigantic floaties, and fun. Also, Cher will be present to close out the ceremony in New York City.
Other stars to anticipate include Jon Batiste, Bell Biv DeVoe, and Brandy. There will be musicals from Broadway and special guest appearances present as well. NBC will air the event live, however, if you are unable to watch on TV, you can also stream online for free via the following sites.
You can take advantage of the free trial period for DirecTV Stream to watch the Macy’s parade. Once the five-day free run expires, you will be charged $69.98 for the Entertainment + Sports Pack in the first two months and the standard $94.98 in subsequent months. Aside from being able to watch NBC and other local channels, you also get to see football games through the holiday weekend.
Use the FuboTV one-day free trial to stream the parade, after which you pay $54.99 per month for your first two months and then $74.99 subsequently.
Although Hulu+ does not offer a free trial period, the package deal offers access to over 75 channels on your device, including NBC, which will air the Macy’s Thanksgiving event, as well as ESPN+ and Disney+ at only $76.99 a month.
A Sling TV subscription of $22.50 in the first two months—and $45 per month after guarantees you access to NBC and other local channels to watch this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving.
The department store announced Cher’s anticipated presence at the holiday parade shortly after her debut Christmas album release in October. It is likely the singer will serenade viewers with some numbers from the Christmas album, though no line-up has been disclosed. “When I listen to it, I think this worked out. It wasn’t planned out, but it worked out,” she remarked.
Cher told Billboard, “They’re not Christmas Christmas songs, OK, they’re just great songs,” explaining that she loves the songs, which is unusual because she “almost never” likes her work. The new release features a remake of “What Christmas Means to Me” with Stevie Wonder, “Put a Little Holiday in Your Heart” with Cyndi Lauper, as well as a collaboration with Tyga on “Drop Top Sleigh Ride.”
