Arnold Schwarzenegger Teams Up With Sylvester Stallone To Support Bruce Willis

Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger are teaming up to support Bruce Willis

Harrowing news about Bruce Willis started trickling out in 2022 when he was diagnosed with aphasia. Things took another turn for the worse when he was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. While his immediate family is taking up measures to ensure his comfort, Willis is also going to receive support from famous action heroes – and rivals – Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Willis, Schwarzenegger, and Stallone can all be found in The Expendables franchise. It’s a unifying point that follows an infamous rivalry between the Governator and Sly. But thanks to their shared history, they are being called upon to join Willi’s immediate family – including wife Emma Heming and ex Demi Moore – to help the actor through this difficult mental health battle.

Frontotemporal dementia is a disorder that causes progressive nerve cell loss in the frontal or temporal lobes of the brain. It is currently incurable and can greatly affect behavior, speech comprehension, and memory. It’s partly a motivating factor in Willis’s retirement and since then his wife Emma has been looking out for him as an advocate.

But those who care for Willis have also devised ways of keeping his quality life high and stimulating his memories. An insider claims that Schwarzenegger and Stallone were recruited to visit Willis and marathon some of his movies. “The family hopes that reliving the various experiences he had with his co-stars will keep Bruce’s memory as sharp and stimulated as possible,” says the insider.

“It may be a Hail Mary pass, but at this stage, they’re willing to try anything to keep Bruce’s memory intact for as long as they can.”

Family and friends are integral to the recipe of comfort and support

Willis has long been part of a blended family that spans his current wife Emma and their two daughters, along with ex-wife Demi and their three daughters. So both sides coming together to support Willis is practically routine now. For example, his 68th birthday marked a blended family reunion, with all his daughters there to join in the singing and festivities.

Schwarzenegger and Stallone are practically families with Willis by now too. Sly and the Governator have gone through a relationship journey like something out of a movie, starting off as infamous rivals sabotaging each other’s work. Now, they’re good friends and the ultimate team to support Willis and prove friendship isn’t expendable at all.
