The British Royal Family Celebrates First Mother’s Day After Death Of The Queen

The British Royal family on Sunday, 19th of March 2023 marked Mother’s Day along with every other person in the United Kingdom. Being the first mother’s day celebration after the late queen’s demise, King Charles paid tribute to his mother.

A picture of the monarch standing on the laps of the late Queen was shared via the Royal Family’s Instagram account together with another photo of the Queen Consort Camilla and her mother, Rosalind Shand, who passed away in 1994. “To all mothers everywhere, and to those who may be missing their mums today,” the caption reads. “We are thinking of you and wishing you a special #MothersDay.”

As part of the UK Mother’s Day celebration, the Prince and Princess of Wales also shared new family photos of Kate and her three children who were all dressed casually for the photo shoot taken by their most trusted photographer, Matt Porteous. The royal couple’s social media accounts published the images, which show Kate, sitting in the boughs of a tree with her children, Prince Louis, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte.

Another charming photo captures Kate tenderly holding Louis and looking down at him with a smile. “Happy Mother’s Day from our family to yours ❤️ @mattporteous,” the couple wrote in that caption.

Fans react to The Prince and Princess of Wales’s post

William and Kate’s post garnered over 350,000 likes in just one hour and fans of the royals have penned down heartwarming messages to the family. “Happy Mother’s Day to you Catherine. It is so clear to see through the pictures how wonderful and doting mum you are. Have an amazing day,” one fan wrote. While another fan hilariously commented, “Now that’s what you call a family tree.”

Also, a user claimed that she is inspired by the princess’s parenting style. “Happy Mother’s Day to the greatest inspo when it comes to motherhood.”
