Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot on May 19, 2018, in a wedding ceremony that captivated the world. Two years later, the couple who had been conferred with the titles of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided to step down from being a full part of The Royal family. Buckingham Palace announced on Feb. 18, 2021, that “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have confirmed to Her Majesty The Queen that they will not be returning as working members of The Royal Family.”
The couple has since then embarked on a full-fledged criticism of the British Monarchy especially King Charles through the release of their book and two-part Netflix docuseries, Harry and Meghan. In light of these developments, Kel Richards, a commentator and host of SkyNews in a broadcast revealed that the continued efforts of the pair to tear down an established institution is not a sustainable means to make money as their lives could end up being “empty.”
Kel Richards says news about Harry and Meghan has become boring to people
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have become quite popular through their media platforms and the numerous interviews granted over the years including one with Oprah Winfrey. Kel Richard believes that people have found them quite boring. “Have you had your fill of Harry and Meghan yet?” he asked. “Now I know there are a lot of people who are feeling rather Harry-and-Meghaned-out at the moment.”

The SkyNews host further revealed that the royal couple still has some cards up their sleeve with their newfound fame as there are plans to release Harry’s new book soonest. “Well, brace yourself, in about 10 days from now,” Richard stated. “Harry’s autobiography will be released in which he will once again wash his dirty linen in public and show great disrespect for his family and the headlines and the TV news will be full of it.”
Kel Richards says the Duke and Duchess of Sussex won’t have fulfilling lives
Richards revealed in his commentary that both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have shown disdain for the Royal family and as such have decided to selfishly focus on themselves and their sufferings in the hands of the British media and the monarchy. However, the SkyNews host thinks their response to their purported problems might not address the issue because as soon as they are short of things to attack with, their lives become meaningless.
“They have given up royalty for celebrity. And celebrity is a notoriously fickle thing. Most celebrities have something they can do to earn their place in the celebrity circuit. They can sing or they can act. Harry and Meghan only have one profession—attacking the royal family,” Richards explained. “But that’s a career that can’t last forever. They might end up with titled but empty lives,” he added. “Any life built on a foundation of resentment can never be a happy one.”
Meghan Markle is not solely responsible for the break in the royal family
Richards, however, cautioned people who are putting the whole blame for dividing the Royal Family on the Duchess of Sussex stating that Prince Harry was a vital part of the drama. “A lot of people are inclined to put the whole blame on Meghan,” he revealed. “They think she’s got Harry hypnotized and he’s just being led around by the nose and has no real idea of what’s going on. But I think that lets Harry off far too lightly. Let me suggest to you that he is a young man relentlessly driven by resentment.”
Richards concluded by making an analysis of Harry’s autobiography, Spare, detailing how it show’s his motive and interest in dividing the royal family. “For Harry to call his book spare shows us he is obsessed with [the fact that he is a spare],” Richards explained. “What that book title tells us is that he is he deeply resents and apparently has resented all his life, the fact that he was the second born, that he’s not the heir and he will never be king.”
