Recently, George Clooney foiled an attempt by Jimmy Kimmel to poke fun at his photos from his teenage years while appearing on a special 20th-anniversary premiere episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live alongside other guests, Snoop Dogg and Coldplay.
The trio of Jimmy, Clooney, and Snoop who served as the co-host on the first few episodes of the ABC talk show treated the audience to yearbook pictures of the 61-year-old and also reminisced on how much the show had changed in the past two decades since they last came on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
George Clooney points out that he had Bell’s palsy
In the spirit of celebration, the show host began by telling Clooney about some awkward photos of him from his teenage years. “George, we happen to have some pictures of you from, this was a little before high school,” Kimmel said. The comedian then proceeded to bring out a picture of Clooney where he had a bowl-cut haircut and rocked a pair of glasses to which the actor quickly responded, “I want to point out that my mother cut my hair.”

The show host focused on another of his teenage photos where he had longer hair but before Jimmy could comment, Clooney quickly interrupted and took time to inform him about a medical condition he had at that time and had previously spoken about. “Now wait, I want to point out something because you’re going to laugh, going to make a joke,” he said. “I have Bell’s palsy there, and half of my face is paralyzed.”
He then further explained by covering half of his face displayed in the photograph with his hand. “Look at this, watch this. If you go like this, on the other side, it’s a completely different face. So now make your joke,” Clooney teased. “Come on, funny man. Come on, let me give you my sad face.”
Jimmy Kimmel hilariously responded before suggesting a toast for the three of them to restore the mood, “You know what? I didn’t have a joke, George, and you really brought everybody down.”
He says he had no memory of the Premiere of Jimmy Kimmel Live
The From Dusk Till Dawn star revealed that he does not remember all that went down during the first episode of the show in 2003 because he was drunk on set. “By the way, we got the audience drunk. Do you remember?” Clooney asked both Jimmy and Snoop to which the host replied, “Yes, the audience was drunk.”
Snoop recalled an audience who got sick during the show while Jimmy recounted the story. “She was sitting right there, we had chairs on the floor, and she vomited during the show,” the show host revealed. “By the way, we assumed she was vomiting because she was drunk, it may have just been the show.”
