Recently in an interview with E! News, Miley Cyrus shared her thoughts about the possibility of playing country music legend Dolly Parton, who also doubles as her godmother, in a biopic. “Me and Dolly have never really spoken, honestly, about me playing Dolly because I feel like I’m already doing it,” Cyrus said. “I don’t know what they’re gonna do to me; I’m sucked, I’m tucked, and plucked, just like she taught me.”
Also, the 30-year-old will feature alongside her godmother in the upcoming holiday special, Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas. Parton expressed her joy and satisfaction about having Cyrus in the film. “Just getting to be with her, and letting people kind of see our relationship in addition to how. Well, our voices blend.”
Dolly Parton will cohost ‘ Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party’
The duo will celebrate the New Year from Miami while co-hosting NBC’s second annual Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party special. Cyrus co-hosted the last edition with Pete Davidson, but she claims this year would be special and better than the last show.
“Because we do something similar, we get to do a really different show than we did last year,” the 30-year-old explained. “And that’s what me and Lorne [Michaels] really want is every year, to do it in a way that’s exactly what some things want, but not what you would expect.”
Cyrus further reassured that having Dolly Parton on board this year is a blessing in disguise as both of them understand each other. “Anything that would ever happen, I know she could pick up,” the 30-year-old detailed. “Anyone watching at home would never notice that something happened, that it wasn’t planned to.”

Dolly Parton speaks about Miley Cyrus’ show
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Dolly Parton revealed her anticipation about the event’s location. “When she first asked me, when she talked about doing the New Year’s show I thought it might be from New York and I wasn’t gonna do it ‘cause I didn’t want to get that cold, you know,” Parton disclosed. “’She said, ‘No, that’s why I don’t do it in New York. That’s why I’m going to Miami.’ So, we’re gonna do it there, so that should be a lot of fun. I’ve never spent much time in Miami.”
The 76-year-old also hinted at some of the things expected in the event. “We’re going to be doing some skits. I know that anything can happen live with the two of us,” she added. “I’m sure we’ll be wearing some bizarre costumes and we’ll be singing some serious songs, some fun songs [and] we’ll be bringing in the new year in fun fashion, I’m sure.”
