Robin Williams died in 2014. It is hard to believe that eight years have passed but his children made sure to honor their dad on this day. Robin shared his oldest son Zak with his first wife, Valerie Velardi. He had a daughter, Zelda, and a son, Cody with his second wife, Marsha Garces.
Both Zak and Zelda shared tributes while Cody seems to stay away from social media. Zelda shared a quote by writer Haruki Murakami that said, “’And once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in.’ — Haruki Murakami.”

Dad, on the eighth anniversary of your passing, I'm remembering how incredibly kind and joyful you were. I deeply miss you you wonderful, hairy man and will be celebrating your life today. Love you so so much! pic.twitter.com/UBa51xeN2g

Zelda also shared some suicide prevention resources. Since Robin died by suicide while suffering from Lewy body dementia, his kids have become mental health advocates to make sure the same tragedy doesn’t happen to another family.

Zak shared a photo of his dad looking off in the distance and wrote, “Dad, on the eighth anniversary of your passing, I’m remembering how incredibly kind and joyful you were. I deeply miss you you wonderful, hairy man and will be celebrating your life today. Love you so so much!”
Many fans were quick to comment about how much they still miss the comedian. While he was best known for his goofy roles, he was a serious actor as well and was truly a unique talent.
