The co-host of The View, Joy Behar, has not shown up on the last few episodes of the ABC daytime talk show. Questions viewers have had regarding the reason for her continuous absence have been stylishly answered by Co-host Whoopi Goldberg. On the fourth consecutive time Joy did not appear on the show, Goldberg, who was anchoring the episode, welcomed guest hosts Alyssa Farah Griffin, Juju Chang, Chelsea Clinton, and usual panelist Sunny Hostin.
Whoopi also took time out to explain the absences of two of the hosts, the duo of Joy Behar and Sara Haines. She stated, “Sara’s still out with COVID. Joy does not have COVID,” Goldberg said. “She’s getting over something else, the flu, or maybe she’s pregnant, I don’t know.” Although the assertion that Joy could be pregnant is facetious as she is 79 years old, yet the explanation nonetheless acknowledges the fact that the co-host has missed several episodes.
Joy Behar Had A Near Fall Experience
Behar is most definitely one of the liveliest on the show. Back in March of this year, she was seen missing a step while settling down in her chair with crew members, and her co-hosts immediately came to her rescue.

After her recovery from the incident, the comedian joked about the whole situation. “Twenty-five years, that has never happened. Who do I sue?” she said. Behar stated that due to the incident, she kept getting messages from fans and viewers. “I keep getting texts from people saying, ‘That’s a viral moment; you’ll be on Page Six.’ That’s all the people really care about!”
Co-hosts did well enough throughout the show’s episode to joke about the slip. “I want to clear something up because you know how things get out and do things. I just want to clear up, Sara [Haines] did not trip Joy. She did not do it and stop sending us texts!” Whoopi Goldberg said jokingly.
Joy Took A Swipe At England’s Monarch
In another episode, Joy took a swipe at the monarch in England with her thoughts that the long-standing institution might never be abolished because of the revenue it generates. “I don’t think that they’ll ever get rid of the monarchy in London in England because they need it for tourism. Billions of dollars come in because of that, even though they spend a lot on the monarchy. I mean, it’s not like Italy and France where you have food and weather. England hasn’t got the weather, and they don’t have the food. They have the history, and they have pomp and circumstance,” Joy said.
Chelsea Clinton Fills In As A Guest Host
Due to the prolonged absences of Sara Haines and Joy Behar, the daughter of a former president of the United States, Chelsea Clinton was brought on board as a guest host on the show.
As noted, Chelsea was on the show opposite Juju Chang of ABC News, Alyssa Farah Griffin, and Sunny Hostin, the full-time co-host.
