It has been one year since the death of Prince Philip. He passed away at the age of 99 due to natural causes. His widow, Queen Elizabeth shared a beautiful tribute to her late husband on the anniversary of his death.
She shared a video montage of her life with Prince Philip along with a poem written by the U.K.’s Poet Laureate Simon Armitage. Alongside the video, the Royal Family’s social media account shared, “Remembering His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh on the first anniversary of his death. After his death, a funeral was held with limited attendance due to the pandemic. It was held at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. Later, a larger memorial service was held at Westminster Abbey to pay tribute to Prince Philip.
The Queen is celebrating her birthday this month as well and she will turn 96. She has been slowing down her attendance at events due to mobility issues and the ongoing pandemic. Sending our continued condolences to the Queen and the Royal Family.
