Susan Lucci just celebrated her 75th birthday in December and fans are practically begging her for tips on how she looks so great. Susan credits her mother’s advice for helping her to age so gracefully. Her mom, Jeanette, just passed away last summer at the age of 104.
A health scare in 2018 also helped her to focus more on a healthy lifestyle. She suffered from a large blockage in her main artery that required major surgery. Luckily, Susan recovered and now focuses on eating a Mediterranean-style diet and doing Pilates six days a week.

Even if you can’t exercise that much, Suan said her mother encouraged her and everyone to do what they can. She said, “She was a registered nurse who believed in prevention. [She encouraged everyone to do] the best with what you’ve got. Get up off the couch, take it day by day and do what works for you.”
After recovering from her surgery, Susan added, “I learned with my heart incident that stress plays a very real role in our health. Physical exercise, in addition to keeping you physically healthier, is a great way to de-stress.”
While of course, health is the most important, her healthy diet and exercise plan has some physical benefits too. She regularly poses in Instagram photos and proves that she looks just as good as she feels! She shared, “I feel as good now as I ever did in my 20s and 30s, maybe even better physically.”
