Remember when we reported a few months ago that Pumpkin Spice SPAM was a real thing? Well, the product went live and sold out in just a few hours. However, despite how popular it was, it looks like the company doesn’t plan to release it again. The brand announces the sell-out of their product on Twitter.
“Turns out it was pretty popular. What are you cooking up with your SPAM® Pumpkin Spice? If you didn’t get your hands on any, we have 15 other flavorful varieties you can enjoy. And maybe someone will be generous enough to share their 2-pack with you.”
Pumpkin Spice SPAM actually sold out… we can’t believe it

The product was initially released on Walmart.com and Spam.com. It only took about 7 hours for the item to sell out completely. A spokesperson for Minnesota-based Hormel Foods talks to the Star Tribune about the whole experience. “Our fans continue to amaze us with their passion for the Spam brand. At this time, we do not have any plans for more Spam Pumpkin Spice products, but we’re always keeping our eye on new flavors or varieties that will resonate with our fans.”
Pumpkin Spice SPAM may seem to be pretty odd and even gross, but this isn’t the first meat product to be paired with a Pumpkin Spice flavoring. Buffalo Wild Wings actually offered a limited-edition pumpkin ale sauce for its chicken wings.
Pumpkin Spice Pranks?
There have also been a couple of Pumpkin Spice pranks on social media. Busch Beer actually posted a photo to their social media pages (that has since been deleted). It was to promote a pumpkin spice latte flavored hard seltzer. The drink was allegedly supposed to have a shocking 17 percent ABV (alcohol by volume).
However, Busch was quick to report that the drink was “not real” and was “meant to be a joke.” Aww, darn.
Hey, maybe SPAM will release it once more for next year? Who knows! For right now, though, we can just prepare to utilize the brand’s 15 other flavors. For those of you who have the Pumpkin Spice SPAM, enjoy the autumnal flavors! A lot of us are jealous we don’t get to try it at least once!
