The 10 Best Disney Channel Movies of All Time
4. The Thirteenth Year (1999):
After seeing this movie, was I only one who had a secret dream of becoming a mermaid when I turned 13? After the disappointment of not getting a letter from Hogwarts at 11, this was my last hope at some sort of magical ability. Sadly, I was met with disappointing normalcy once again.
3. Halloweentown (1998):
I don’t know about anyone else, but I still wait for this movie to come on every October. I’ve seen it countless times, but it’s still as entertaining and clever as ever.
2. Brink! (1998):
Another precursor to hipsterdom. The main characters in this movie refuse to perform for the big corporation and call themselves soul skaters. So cute, naïve and indie. If they were real people alive now, they’d be every hipster’s nonconformist dream.
1. Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century (1999):
Let’s all just take a minute to laugh at remember the vision that this movie painted of the year 2049. There were children running around a space station, all the clothes were metallic and neon, and the world’s most popular band was a pop-synth group called Microbe (whose lead signer was named Proto Zoa, by the way). Zedis lapedis! How did they predict everything so accurately?!
