The Princess of Wales took to social media recently, announcing that she has now gone into remission after a year-long battle with cancer. She also gave her heartfelt appreciation to those who supported her during this challenging period, including her husband, Prince William. Kate Middleton’s lengthy post on Instagram brought a glimmer of hope about the state of her health, and admirers of the royal responded with relief. “I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to The Royal Marsden for looking after me so well during the past year,” she began. The 43-year-old noted that she is currently focused on recovery and will require more time to adjust to her new normal. “I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support,” she added. The official Instagram page for the Prince and Princess of Wales also echoed the update, calling her work a life-saving, world-leading, and pioneering endeavor. It has been a few months shy of a year since Kate publicized her cancer diagnosis, having undergone a series of tests and abdominal surgery. She was also in the early stage of chemotherapy at the time.
