Former American football player and actor, OJ Simpson gained national attention primarily due to his tumultuous legal saga during the 1990s. Simpson was arrested in 1994 and indicted for the brutal murders of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman. He purportedly claimed that Nicole's death was a result of her brandishing a knife at him, asserting, "If Nicole hadn’t opened that door with a knife in her hand, she’d still be alive."
