Saving Graceland
Since Elvis’ death, Graceland and the Presley household have experienced changes, including financial challenges, which Priscilla helped curb by opening Graceland to the public in 1982. Priscilla transformed the estate into a revenue-generating asset thanks to her business acumen, multiplying its value tremendously to about $500 million.
Graceland recently came under threat of being sold after a scam lending company alleged that it was collateral for a $3.8 million debt owed by Priscilla’s late daughter, Lisa Marie. Thankfully, the property sale has been suspended, with Lisa Marie’s daughter, Riley Keough, having sole ownership of the estate based on the will.
