Peter Frampton has experienced different life and career challenges, with the most recent being his health battle with Inclusion Body Myositis(IBM)—a progressive autoimmune musculoskeletal disorder. Despite the deterioration in his health, the singer has refused to retire as he still serenades his fans with his stage performance. Frampton who recently turned 74 last month reminisced about his life and how his failing health is affecting his music career during an interview days before the celebration. He also shared his struggles with how difficult it has become to maintain his style of music. Despite these challenges, the 74-year-old is passionate about maintaining his style and has improvised new ways as he is a "fighter" and won't allow his health struggle to limit what he can do. His mental health took a hit following the news as he was in denial at first and later he started having self-doubt about his skills.
