Television icon Shannen Doherty passed away on July 13 at the age of 53. Following her death, several co-stars have taken to social media to pay tribute to Doherty, in particular her former colleagues from Beverly Hills, 90210 and Charmed. She played Brenda Walsh in Beverly Hills, 90210 from 1990 to 1994. In Charmed, she maintained the role of Prue Halliwell for the fantasy drama's first three seasons. Doherty's passing follows a years-long struggle with cancer. She had first been diagnosed in March 2015 and by April 2017, announced that she was in remission. Sadly, in 2019, it returned. Doherty officially announced her diagnosis of metastatic stage 4 cancer in 2020. Jason Priestley, to whom Doherty was the TV sister of Brandon, said in tribute, "Shocked and saddened to hear about the passing of my friend Shannen. She was a force of nature and I will miss her. However, Milano, who played Doherty's sister, Phoebe, was quick to remember her co-star after Doherty's passing.
