The Blue Lagoon and Pretty Baby star shared glimpses of her birthday celebration on Instagram. She was surrounded by turquoise waters, looking relaxed and radiant as she reclined on the sand. Regardless of stereotypes, turning 60 has not slowed Brooke down. In her birthday post, the 60-year-old wrote, “Woke up today in paradise … and a new decade of life! This is 60! Thank you for all of the birthday love.” Alongside her beach photos, her beauty brand Commence joined in the celebration by posting a playful list of age-related myths she refuses to accept.

“That 60 means slowing down,” one of the myths read. They shared more messages emphasizing self-worth, growth, and confidence at every age, reflecting Brooke Shields’ attitude toward growing older. Meanwhile, she has been candid about aging in recent years. The actress believes that adulthood is a time to build on what one has already started. In a November 2023 interview, Brooke opened up about choosing beauty routines that prioritize her well-being, opting for natural treatments over specific cosmetic procedures. She prefers to preserve her original beauty rather than look youthful at the expense of her original self. “I’m scared of not looking like myself.” She stated.

Personal life

Friends and fans quickly filled the comments section with beautiful birthday messages. Her daughter Rowan also shared a heartfelt message describing her mom as both a role model and best friend.

Meanwhile, Brooke recently shared glimpses from a beach outing in April, where she stunned in a black-and-white bikini while soaking up the sun in the Bahamas.  Brooke’s journey from child star to leading woman in her sixties has always been about maintaining her core values.
