Aerosmith’s Recent Performance Got Fans Hyped For Reunion – But Is It Actually Happening?

Aerosmith’s lead singer, Steven Tyler, recently performed at his annual Jam for Janie event in Los Angeles, making it his first time since the band quit touring last year. They reached this agreement due to Tyler’s vocal cord injury, which he hoped would get better. Fans were glad to see him on stage again and hoped it meant a future reunion for Aerosmith.

Tyler performed three classic Aerosmith songs, “Dream On,” “Sweet Emotion,” and “Walk This Way.” The charity event hosted other rock legends like Billy Idol, Joan Jett, and Joe Perry, who joined the cause to raise money for vulnerable female victims of abuse and neglect.

Will Aerosmith get back together?

Amid the excitement surrounding Tyler’s return, drummer Matt Sorum dampened the anticipation when he stated that a full tour is unlikely. He explained that a 77-year-old Tyler considers being on the road too challenging for his age, adding that Tyler would not want to compromise the quality of his performances.

On the bright side, Tyler might do a few songs occasionally, as Sorum emphasized his dedication to authentic live shows, noting that he refuses to use pre-recorded tracks or change song keys. This commitment to excellence is why another Aerosmith reunion is wishful thinking.

Fans react to Aerosmith’s standing about another tour

Fans have expressed their thoughts about Aerosmith’s future, with many simply thrilled to see Tyler back, even though for a short set. For most, the possibility that the band may not tour again is disappointing. “It was great to see him singing again. One of the greatest vocalists of the last 50 years. I love Aerosmith,” someone said on X.
