Aerosmith Reunites For Benefit Concert After Steven Tyler Was Forced To Step Down

Aerosmith fans are anticipating the legendary rock band reuniting for Steven Tyler’s sixth annual Jam for Janie event on February 2, 2025, at the Hollywood Palladium. This marks the band’s first performance since their retirement from touring in 2024. The event promises a dazzling evening, with performances by Billy Idol, Joan Jett, Linda Perry, Matt Sorum, and Nuno Bettencourt.

Tyler’s Grammy Viewing Party offers more than music as guests will experience a red carpet entrance and enjoy a cocktail reception, a formal dinner, a live auction, and an exclusive after-party. With Aerosmith’s Joe Perry and Tom Hamilton confirmed to join Tyler on stage, this reunion is set to remind fans of the band’s awesomeness.

Aerosmith reunion is happening following Steven Tyler’s vocal injury

Aerosmith’s touring days came to an end after Steven Tyler suffered a serious vocal injury during their farewell tour. In September 2023, Tyler fractured his larynx during a performance, causing vocal cord bleeding. Despite initial hopes to resume, Aerosmith officially retired from touring in August 2024.

Tyler expressed heartbreak over the injury, as performing live had always been the highlight of his career. Bassist Tom Hamilton previously shared that the band hoped to continue their legacy through other creative avenues. This reunion at Jam for Janie provides the perfect platform for them to reignite their spirit and share their music, even if touring is no longer an option.

What is Steven Tyler’s Jam for Janie event for?

The Jam for Janie event is Steven Tyler’s heartfelt initiative to support Janie’s Fund, which is a foundation dedicated to helping young women and girls who have survived abuse. This year, the event broadens its mission by supporting more noble causes.

One of these is the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and the Widows, Orphans, and Disabled Firefighters Fund. They will recognize the heroic efforts of firefighters during California’s recent wildfires, including those who risked their lives on the front lines, and will join the night’s festivities as honored guests.
