Billy Bob Thornton has worked with Demi Moore and her ex-husband Bruce Willis on different projects, making him a friend of the former couple. He is set to appear alongside Demi Moore in Taylor Sheridan’s upcoming movie, Landman, more than three decades after their first, Indecent Proposal.
The 69-year-old has done more films like Bandits, The Astronaut Farmer and Armageddon with Bruce, who is now retired due to his Frontotemporal Dementia diagnosis. The former actor left the spotlight after Assassin, as he had a hard time remembering lines and communicating.
Demi Moore supports Bruce Willis through his health condition
Getting on set with Demi again reminded Billy of her kind personality, as shown by her support for Bruce despite being his ex. She reportedly visits more often due to his health condition, although he is said to have growing difficulty remembering who she is.
Billy recalled how Demi used to visit the set while Bruce was working, along with their three kids: Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah. Bruce’s grown-up daughters have been vocal about his rare disease, joining their mother, Demi, and Bruce’s current wife, Emma Heming Willis, to spread awareness about the ravaging condition.
How is Bruce Willis doing now?
Demi gave an update about Bruce’s state during the recently concluded Hamptons International Film Festival, where she was honored with a Career Achievement in Acting award. When it comes down to what disease Bruce Willis has, she assures the audience of his stability, noting that the family is gradually accepting his new reality.
Their daughter Tallulah gave a similar response recently; however, she admitted that there are some really bad days. Rather than dwell on his illness, the Willis are intentional about making memories with Bruce, as they cannot tell how much time he has left. The movie icon has been spotted in public on a few occasions, and with a bodyguard at all times.
