Cher’s first son, Chaz Bono, initially banned her from his upcoming wedding to Shara Blues Mathes; however, the 55-year-old is having a change of heart as the big day approaches. Cher is also estranged from Bono’s half-brother, Elijah Allman, due to a conservatorship dispute.
With the boundary between them still drawn, Bono is letting Cher attend his wedding on a simple condition. Bono claims his relationship has only thrived for as long as seven years because he deliberately keeps Cher out of it.
Chaz Bono inviting Cher to his wedding – what’s the condition?
Bono reportedly stated that his mother must desist from meddling in his personal life if she wants to have a relationship with him. He added that her presence at the ceremony will only be tolerated if she allows them to tie the knot in peace and not interfere.
Bono accused Cher of calling too often, giving unsolicited advice about his relationship, and poking into his finances. He accused her of suffocating his brother’s marriage to his estranged wife, Marieangela King, noting that he does not want the same for his love life.
Cher is reportedly too demanding
More of Cher’s loved ones, including her much younger boyfriend Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards, are reportedly tired of her demanding ways. There have been rumors about an imminent breakup, with claims of Cher being concerned that the 38-year-old is dating her for money and would leave her for a younger woman. A source revealed that Alexander considers her overbearing and testy, especially since the legal drama between her and Elijah.
She attempted to take charge of Elijah’s finances, accusing him of being unable to manage his father’s trust due to mental troubles and substance abuse. Her request was denied by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Jessica, stating that Elijah is now drug-free, as shown by test results. Regardless of the ruling, Cher remains unrelenting and is still open to a long-term conservatorship.
