Cher is reportedly begging her kids Chaz Bono and Elijah Blue Allman for a reconciliation for fear of being alone. An insider claimed that Cher is starting to agree with her kids that her relationship with Alexander may be one-sided, hence why she is reaching out lately.
The controversial lovers have been together since late 2022, amid backlash for the 40-year gap between them. Chaz and Bono had issues with the relationship, as they did not trust Alexander’s intentions for their mother.
Cher and her kids became distant over her controversial romance
Cher chose her romance with Alexander over her kids, and while it paid off for a while, the Pop goddess is taking a step back. She is allegedly having trouble in her relationship but is reluctant to admit this to her kids. While they have not broken up yet, Cher does not see Alexander staying until the end of her life and wants her kids present.
The duo reportedly broke up in April last year due to undisclosed reasons. This was after Alexander gave Cher a diamond ring, insinuating they were engaged. They were seen later in the year holding hands, halting the rumors about their split.
More issues between Cher and kids
Cher’s first child, Chaz, refused to have her at his wedding to Shara Blue Mathes, saying he wanted it to be free of her theatrics. He claims they have been estranged since he came out as gay and transitioned in 2008. Cher regretted the distance between them, saying she has had gay and trans friends forever.
Cher also attempted to gain conservatorship over Elijah due to his drug addiction; however, she dropped the bid when he was able to prove his agency and sobriety. While Cher’s relationship with her grown kids still needs fixing, she seems to be getting along with Alexander’s five-year-old son, Slash.
