Suzanne Somers died of breast cancer last October after battling with the ravaging disease for over two decades. She left behind her only son, Bruce, who is married with adorable kids, and her second husband, Alan Hamel, who recently discussed his new life as a widower with Fox News Digital.
According to Alan, Somers’ presence has been stronger around him since her passing, which gives him some comfort that she watches over him. The 88-year-old cited some instances he believes are not mere coincidences but a function of Somers reaching out from the afterlife.

Alan narrated how Somers’ favorite song once came on the audio system, which was turned off, during a family moment in the kitchen. He noted that the rare Latin music lasted till its end and the device never came back on. The fireplace also started itself and went off after an hour later that day.

Another adorable incident was when Alan held a cute hummingbird in his hands after it hovered around a photo of him and Somers weeks before. Alan said the experiences have been too significant to ignore, making him realize there is life after death and Somers is there waiting for him.
It has gotten lonely without Suzanne in his life
Although he appears to carry on well, Alan confessed it has been difficult living alone for the first time in his adult life, and he would often reach his hand out in bed for Somers. The father of two is convinced about a great beyond which is a mystery that has birthed the complex but beautiful life of humans.
Alan has remained supportive of Somers even after her passing, as he still promotes her wellness brand on and off social media, just as she requested. Their grandchildren and daughter-in-law, Caroline, who serves as the company’s president, join him in running the business.
