“This is love,” singer-songwriter LeAnn Rimes thought as she celebrated 13 years as a wife to her husband, Eddie Cibrian. Following the phrase were more sweet words to her man, accompanied by a video of her dancing and goofing with Eddie in a white revealing crochet dress. “Still laughing like kids, always holding each other up. You, still trying to be part of the band. I love you more than I’ll ever find words to express!” she wrote.
Two more snaps showed the couple in their element, enjoying each other’s company with public displays of affection. In the comments, fans were touched by their playfulness and expressed how adorable they both looked. “Being in the public can be marvelous, it can also be nasty! You both rose above all the chatter and simply lived your lives!!! You both make each other better!!! Celebrate!!” someone wrote. “That was hilarious. You guys keep it fun for sure!” another added.

Though it was a wholesome moment for the couple and viewers, a few social media users were questioning why Rimes would steal “someone’s husband.” Another asked how their exes were doing, insinuating that one or both of them left behind former spouses to be together. Thankfully, a follower came to Rimes’ defense, pointing out that Eddie’s life is “way better off with her than it was his ex-wife.”

Apparently, Eddie’s ex-wife Brandi Glanville has publicly come for Rimes in the past for being Eddie’s mistress during their marriage, which ended in 2009. “LeAnn had taken over my life and I didn’t have a voice anymore,” Brandi revealed in 2021. “I did not want my kids around her. She’d got my husband and she was not getting my children.” However, the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills alum admitted to forgiving Rimes “because of the kids.”
Does LeAnn Rimes have a child?
Rimes has no biological children, but she is a dedicated stepmother to Eddie’s kids, Mason and Jake, whom he had with his ex-wife Brandi. The 41-year-old does not appear so keen on having a baby yet, especially because she seems so satisfied parenting her stepsons. Regardless, she admitted to considering biological motherhood because she wants more kids. Once coupled up with Eddie, Rimes was off to a challenging start with his kids, particularly due to the issues surrounding their romance. “When I was first around the kids, I didn’t know what was expected of me,” she confessed at the time.
As time passed, Rimes got more accustomed to her role as a stepmother, picking up lessons along the way. “Little things that were so childlike about them that I didn’t have about me. It’s been a really big learning experience for me,” she told Refinery29. “It’s pushed my buttons, which has always made me look and see where I need more healing on myself.” She gushed about Mason and Jake, saying they bring “so much joy” and “a new experience everyday” to her life. “It’s been really rewarding to see them grow up, and know that I have a part in that,” she added.

For someone who did not have a childhood, taking care of Eddie’s children was a chance for Rimes to feel childlike again and relive her younger days. Her husband also sees her as a terrific parent to his kids and makes every Mother’s Day special for Rimes. “The kids spend Mother’s Day with their mom, so Eddie takes me out. He tries to make the day special for me, which is very sweet,” she gushed. He even went as far as creating “Stepmom’s Day” just for her, involving a family dinner and some festivities. “For me, we have the kids half the time, so I feel like I am mothering, which is crazy as someone who has never had biological children before,” the “I Need You” singer quipped. “I think it’s great.”

Does LeAnn Rimes still perform?
Rimes is still very much in the music business as a performer and is currently touring the UK and the US. Her next gig will take place at the O2 in London, followed by another at River City Casino and Hotel in St. Louis, Missouri. Earlier this year, she announced her renewed appointment as a red chair coach on The Voice Australia alongside Guy Sebastian and two new colleagues, Adam Lambert and Kate Miller-Heidke.
Rimes shared the exciting news with her TikTok family, with a video of her spinning in a chair and eating Tim Tams. “I’m looking forward to it, I can’t wait to see you guys,” she said. “It’s been a really long time, and can’t wait to discover new talents.” On the other hand, coaches Jason Derulo, Jessica Mauboy, and Rita Ora will be absent from this year’s season. Rimes’ Australian-resident fans shared in her joy, and expressed their anticipation about seeing her on their screens soon. “I’m so happy you’re coming to my beautiful country,” a comment reads. “I cannot wait to watch you on the voice.”
