Former American Idol judge Simon Cowell sent fans into another frenzy about his face when he appeared on Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly’s Saturday Night Takeaway TV series. Viewers could not hide their concerns, which they mostly expressed on X, formerly Twitter.
A curious fan asked, “Seriously, how much work has Simon Cowell done?” exclaiming that the TV personality “can’t move his face!!!!” Someone else said he had “balloons for cheeks,” while another advised him to “sue his plastic surgeon.”
Viewers react to Simon Cowell’s “scary” appearance
Simon previously attempted cosmetic enhancements like a facelift and facials. However, they have altered his look and his fans are not having it. “Simon Cowell has had so much work done he now looks like a ventriloquist dummy. He can only move his face from top lip down,” an alarmed user stated, with someone else calling his appearance “scary.”

Simon has admitted in the past that he was done with Botox after acknowledging that he “might have gone a bit too far” with the procedure. “I saw a picture of me from ‘before’ the other day and didn’t recognize it as me first of all,” he confessed, adding that his son, Eric, was “in hysterics” about his new face.

He is tuning down on the fillers
The 64-year-old clarified months back that “there is no filler in my face at all now— zero,” however, he told Page Six in an exclusive that he only “reduced” it. “Let’s put it that way. Everything in moderation,” he explained to the outlet. He laughed off these claims in April 2023, saying he has done “nothing drastic” to warrant such hysteria from the public. “When I hear about this stuff, honestly, it does make me laugh,” he said.
A resurfaced clip from 2007 shows 48-year-old Simon saying he “looked good” and was “aging quite well.” The clip sparked conversation early last year as he jokingly suggested facelifts and Botox to host Jeremy Clarkson on a Top Gear episode. “You need Botox, you need a facelift. Just have half an eye done,” he told Clarkson, who reminded Simon of his statement about being “the equivalent of a Jaguar who needs help.”
“I was reading one of your reviews about a Jaguar and how Jaguars have to update themselves over the years,” Clarkson had said.
