Simon Cowell’s Instagram recent post caused a stir among fans, who wondered why the TV personality looked suddenly different. The video featured the 63-year-old congratulating One Direction for attaining over a billion streams with their 2011 single, “What Makes You Beautiful,” and Lucy Spraggan on her new album.
However, fans were more concerned about Simon’s face and, in their curiosity, took to the comments to ask why he looked rather strange. “What on earth has happened to your face?” someone asked. In response to the questions, a plastic surgeon, Dr. Anthony Youn, shared his thoughts on Simon’s looks.

While Simon intended to pay tribute to two X Factor alums, the One Direction band and Lucy, his followers could not overlook the changes in his looks. “I want to talk about two brilliant things connected with ‘X Factor’,” he started in the clip. “Congratulations, One Direction, and a massive thank you to all of the fans who have always supported this group. This is huge, and I am so proud.”

He also called Lucy “one of the best songwriters” he has ever met. Although some fans focused on the message, comments like “You used to look good before the plastic Simon” and “The Botox is wearing off Simon” zeroed in on the 63-year-old’s looks.
Simon admits to excessive cosmetic procedures
Simon has been open about going under the knife and getting fillers, a face-lift, and Botox. He also admitted that he may have taken it too far. “There was a stage where I might have gone a bit too far. I saw a picture of me from ‘before’ the other day and didn’t recognize it as me,” he said in an interview last year.
In response to fans’ curiosity, Plastic Surgeon Anthony Yuon, who has never treated Simon, explained that the America’s Got Talent judge opted for Botox ‘to smooth his forehead and lift his eyebrows.’ “He also may have had injections around his mouth. Hopefully, the injections were recent, as the effects can often settle down within a week or so,” Yuon added.
