Last week marked the 15th annual ACM Honors, a ceremony dedicated to celebrating people in front of and behind the cameras in the country music industry. Miranda Lambert was honored there for her career and managed to turn a few heads with her vibrant outfit – especially her husband’s.
Lambert, 38, already has two decades in country music under her belt, introducing listeners to her work in 2001 with a self-titled album. She expanded her resume with the Platinum-certified 2005 album Kerosene. She has been married to Blake Shelton for four years but tied the knot with Brendan McLoughlin in 2019, and he looked just as in love seeing his wife in her element and looking fabulous.

Wednesday, August 24th saw country music stars and the experts who work behind the scenes converge at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium for a night of celebration. Lambert shared a video of the event to her Instagram, which shows her in a bright orange dress with gold accessories that complimented her gold clutch and blond hair. Lambert captioned the post with news about the event and the designers behind her outfit.

Beside her is McLoughlin. The two are seen briefly pulling some playful dance moves, with McLoughlin initiating and Lambert following suit. Husband and wife are all smiles and at one point McLoughlin looks lovingly at the country singer before planting a kiss on her cheek. The video is short but shows a lot of emotion.
Many congratulations are in order
The name Miranda Lambert is a familiar one at the Academy of Country Music Awards. In 2007, she won the Top New Female Vocalist award, and in 2008 followed that up with Album of the Year for Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. Even COVID-19 couldn’t keep Lambert from this tradition, and she performed “Bluebird” in a socially-distanced ceremony. On the way, her collaboration with other country music women to create “Fooled Around and Fell in Love” also earned the Music Event of the Year award.
Love has been just as rewarding for Lambert and McLoughlin. News of their marriage came primarily through a social media announcement by Lambert roughly a month after their late-January wedding. She tied the knot with the New York City Police Department Officer and they’ve been together ever since.
Congratulations to them both!
