Country singer Alan Jackson has been removed from the 2022 CMA Fest lineup. CMA did not reveal why Alan is no longer part of the lineup but shared that Brothers Osborne and Old Dominion will be taking his previous time slot.
The cancelation was announced just days before the CMA Fest kickoff on June 9. Alan is still scheduled for his upcoming tour which starts on June 24 and takes him around the country. His tour is called 2022 Last Call: One More for the Road Tour and may end up being his last due to some ongoing health issues.

He said, “I have this neuropathy and neurological disease. It’s genetic that I inherited from my daddy … There’s no cure for it, but it’s been affecting me for years. And it’s getting more and more obvious. And I know I’m stumbling around on stage. And now I’m having a little trouble balancing, even in front of the microphone, and so I just feel very uncomfortable.”
The 63-year-old added, “I’ve always admired my heroes like George Jones, Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn and Charley Pride who just played as much as they wanted to, as long as they could. I’ve always thought I’d like to do that, and I’d like to as long as my health will allow. I’ll try to do as much as I can, but if I’m comin’ your way, come see me.” His tour is expected to start in June and end in October. Are you going?
