Prince Harry And Meghan’s Wedding Attire Will Be Displayed At An Exhibition

by Jane Kenney

Published August 29, 2018

It’s been reported that Royal family fans will be able to get a real-life glimpse of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding outfits. Meghan’s outfit will include the dress, veil, and the diamond-and-platinum tiara that was loaned to Meghan by Queen Elizabeth II. Harry’s outfit that will be displayed includes the frock-coat uniform of the Blues and Royals regiment.

The exhibition will formally be called “A Royal Wedding: The Duke And Duchess Of Sussex”. It will be live at Windsor Castle from October 26th to January 6th, 2019, and at Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh, Scotland, from June 14th to October 6th, 2019.

Harry and Meghan's wedding outfits will go on display at Windsor Castle in a special exhibition A Royal Wedding: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, from 26 October 2018 to 6 January 2019 and at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh from 14 June to 6 October 2019, @RCT confirms pic.twitter.com/UKEMI37I7Z

Meghan’s dress was designed by Clare Waight Keller of Givenchy and her veil was embroidered with flowers from the 53 countries of the Commonwealth. The tiara that was lent to her by Queen Elizabeth II is actually a Queen Mary’s piece.

To some fan’s dismay, the actual outfit that Prince Harry physically wore will not be displayed, but rather a replica. Harry still uses the actual outfit to this day and, therefore, cannot be displayed.

While the wedding attire is becoming available for display, the wedding party attire will not be up for viewing. The couple attended a wedding reception with just 200 people at the Frogmore House on May 19th, 2018. Meghan wore a lily-white silk gown designed by Stella McCartney, while Prince Harry wore a stunning, traditional tuxedo.

Since the announcement of the wedding attire line, it has done wonders for Windsor Castle’s recognition. According to a video posted below, lines and crowds of people can be seen outside Windsor Castle.

In addition to the hype about Meghan Markle’s dress being put on display, it’s not the only historic, beautiful piece. Her dress also joins the rest, being added to the list of Royal family wedding dresses that can be viewed below. They date back decades, even centuries long.
