Another non-food item to keep in your fridge is nail polish. It sounds odd but the cold air will help maintain the color and consistency of the nail polish for a longer period of time.

9. Ketchup

Once you open a bottle of ketchup, throw this in your fridge as well. It will help maintain flavor and freshness for about six months. Make sure to store the rest of your opened condiments in the fridge as well.
