On April 15, 2018, John Stamos announced the birth of his son Billy. The 54-year-old actor was thrilled to finally become a father, and he was unable to contain his joy on social media.
John and his wife, actress and model Caitlin McHugh revealed that they were expecting a child in December 2017, two months after they got engaged. In February, the happy couple tied the knot.
John Stamos rose to fame for his role as Blackie Parrish on General Hospital. He became a household name when he landed the role of Jesse Katsopolis on Full House.
His character, Uncle Jesse, is the irresponsible “cool guy.” He’s in a band, obsessed with his hair, and spends a lot of time dating various women. Eventually he settles down with Rebecca Donaldson, played by Lori Loughlin, and has twin sons Nicky and Alex.
John remains close with many of his Full House costars, including Bob Saget, Lori Loughlin, Dave Coulier, Jodie Sweetin, and Candace Cameron Bure.
On May 11, 2018, John shared a picture on social media of him introducing his newborn son to Bob Saget and Lori Loughlin — and the photo will melt your heart.
In the picture, Bob, Lori, and John all stare lovingly at Billy, who is only a month old. Billy is wearing a “Jesse and the Rippers” onesie, which pays tribute to John’s character’s band in Full House.
Bob Saget also shared the photo on his own Instagram account, writing that Billy is a “beautiful boy.” He also says that he’s proud to be a new uncle to this sweet baby boy.
John has wanted to be a dad for a long time, and it’s so nice to see his dream of fatherhood finally coming true. His Full House family couldn’t be happier for him.
