John Stamos had a proud father moment as his 6-year-old son Billy, whom he shares with his wife Caitlin McHugh, hit the drum set at The Beach Boys’ show at the Meadow Brook Amphitheatre in Michigan during the weekend. The lad showed off his talent to the band’s ‘60s hit song, “Good Vibrations,” as the crowd watched in admiration.
Soon after, Stamos posted a clip of the wholesome moment with the caption, “Had a little help from my son BILLY on good vibrations last night— Wasn’t it nice!” Billy seemed to be having so much fun as he grooved away with lemon headphones on.

A concertgoer testified to Billy’s bright personality, recalling when he tried to “be like daddy” and run across the stage during a previous concert with The Beach Boys in Los Angeles County. “Mama had to get him. It was the cutest! So sweet!” they gushed.
Father and son
Stamos became a dad at 54, and in retrospect, he is grateful to have waited so long as it helped him build character and focus. He almost gave up on welcoming a child and nearly accepted his fate to remain childless until McHugh had their baby shortly after the wedding. His favorite part of this phase is hearing Billy laugh and be happy.
Having also enjoyed the love of a father, Stamos paid tribute to his own William John Stamos, who died in 2001, at the show in Indianapolis’ Everwise Amphitheater. He held back tears as he revealed to the audience that it was William’s death anniversary, after which he played The Beach Boys’ “Forever.”
