And unless you have a tool to help you measure the capacity left in each battery within reach at all times, then chances are you won’t know which one of your batteries are about to die on you.

This method works when it comes to testing any alkaline battery, including AA, AAA, C, D batteries. Of course, the best way to test any kind of batteries is with a meter, but knowing this trick can come in handy if you don’t currently have a meter at hand.
