John “JT” Tredgold is the vice president of bakery operations at Semifreddi’s in Oakland, CA
He loved his job, but was getting very tired of not having the perfect place to wind down at the end of his long days. That was when he began his six-month long journey to find the perfect home!
He considered many places but stopped as soon as he found a tiny rustic cabin.
The cabin was about two hours outside of the city, which was perfect for JT. “It’s a funky cabin, but I looked at the design and proportions, and I fell in love with it,” he said.
The cabin was built in 1959 and only has 324 square feet of living space.
It may be small, but don’t let that turn you off. This cabin has a lot to offer!
The upstairs of the cabin has an amazingly comfortable lofted bedroom.
The room has an incredible skylight that offers a view of the stunning redwoods that surround the property. That’s probably why this room is JT’s favorite part of the house.
