5. The string on the Wonkavator.
You can also clearly see the string used to hold the Wonkavator when it flies out through the roof. These days we can use green-screen, but back then they certainly had to get creative. When I was a kid one thing I really wanted to do was ride the Wonkavator, it looked like so much fun!
6. Although there’s English signage planted in this fictional European town, you catch glances of German advertisements.
You’d have to have a very very quick eye to notice this but if you pause the movie and take a look, you’ll see some of the signs are in English and some are in German. Fortunatly now you can watch things in slow motion to catch this one.
7. The chocolate bar.
In the scene where Charlie unwraps his golden ticket, you can see that the chocolate bar is really just a piece of brown paper.
