More than four years after the world lost Bob Saget, the people who loved him most gathered to see the last thing he made. His eldest daughter, Aubrey Saget, and his widow, Kelly Rizzo, attended a Los Angeles screening of the Netflix documentary ‘Who Is Martin Mull?’ on September 28. According to Hello!, it was Aubrey’s first public appearance in roughly two years. She is a painter and one of the three daughters the ‘Full House’ star shared with his first wife, Sherri Kramer.
The film meant a great deal to Saget. The Independent reports that he began working on it in 2018 as co-director and executive producer, and he sat down with Mull himself for the interviews at its heart. Saget died in January 2022 at 65. His co-director, Neil Berkeley, carried the project to the finish line, and it begins streaming on Netflix on October 7. Mull died in June 2024 at 80, so the film now stands as a tribute to both men. Mull’s widow, Wendy, and their daughter, Maggie, were also at the screening.
Bob Saget And Martin Mull, Together One More Time
Viewers will get to see the two friends trade lines again. In one exchange from the film, Saget tells Mull he hardly knows where to begin “because, to me, you truly are a jack-of-all-trades.” Mull fires back, “Jerk-of-all-trades,” and Saget cracks up. Steve Martin and Tom Waits both appear to help explain a career that ran from folk clubs to ‘Roseanne’ and ‘Clue.’ Rizzo, 47, has stayed close to Saget’s daughters, and his television family keeps him close too. This spring John Stamos shared his last photo with Saget on what would have been his 70th birthday. Starting October 7, fans can hear that famous laugh once more.
