Matthew McConaughey turned a special movie screening into a family night when he stepped out with wife Camila Alves and their three children. The couple appeared in Texas with Levi, 18, Vida, 16, and Livingston, 13, for a screening of the actor’s upcoming film, The Rivals of Amziah King.
According to Yahoo Entertainment, the Matthew McConaughey children quickly drew attention as they posed alongside their famous parents. Eldest son Levi especially showed a striking resemblance to his father, while Vida and Livingston joined the family for an evening that also celebrated McConaughey’s career and deep connection to Texas.

McConaughey dressed in a navy suit and white shirt for the occasion, while Alves chose a gray striped three-piece suit and a large brown hat. Levi wore a beige linen shirt with jeans, Vida stepped out in a black spaghetti-strap dress, and Livingston completed the family lineup in a light blue linen suit with a white T-shirt.
The screening carried extra significance for the Oscar winner. Alamo Drafthouse Mueller renamed the venue the Matthew McConaughey Cinema in recognition of his career and commitment to his home state. McConaughey also performed during the celebration alongside members of The Last Bison, making the evening about much more than the premiere of his latest project.
Family Life Played A Major Role In His Return To Texas
McConaughey and Alves left Los Angeles and moved their family to Texas permanently in 2014. The actor has explained that he wanted his children to experience some of the values and stability he knew while growing up there. Texas also gives the family a strong support system and a slower pace of life that McConaughey appreciates.
Fatherhood remains one of the actor’s biggest priorities. He has described being a good father as one of the “greatest” things a man can accomplish. However, McConaughey has also acknowledged the importance of protecting his relationship with Alves while raising their family. For Matthew McConaughey, one of the best lessons he can give his children is showing them how he treats their mother.
