Yahoo Creators reported that Eden learned she was pregnant the same day she officially landed the role of Jeannie. She feared the producers might replace her, but creator Sidney Sheldon instead chose to move forward with filming while carefully hiding the pregnancy during production.

I Dream of Jeannie originally aired in black and white before later switching to color, and Eden believes her pregnancy may have influenced that decision. She joked that producers likely hesitated to fully invest in color episodes early on because they worried about complications during filming. The show eventually transitioned into color just a few months after its debut and remained that way for the rest of its run. Fans continued embracing the magical sitcom, especially the playful chemistry between Eden and co-star Larry Hagman, who portrayed astronaut Tony Nelson.

Even after decades of fan admiration, Eden admits one storyline hurt the series creatively. She explained that Tony marrying Jeannie during the later seasons weakened the show because she felt the romance removed some of the fantasy and mystery surrounding the character. I Dream of Jeannie also experienced plenty of unusual moments behind the scenes. Eden once revealed that Hagman occasionally behaved badly on set and even admitted to one infamous temper tantrum involving him urinating on the set after losing his patience during filming.

The actress also recalled getting trapped inside a giant genie bottle prop after the crew accidentally left for lunch while she was still inside. Despite the chaotic moments, Eden still warmly celebrates the sitcom and continues appearing at fan conventions to honor its lasting legacy.
