According to Deadline, the actress appeared in 21 Broadway productions throughout her career. She made her Broadway debut in 1965 in You Can’t Take It With You and continued performing on stage for decades afterward. Jennifer Harmon worked alongside many acclaimed actors over the years and often served as an understudy for stars including Stockard Channing, Judi Dench, and Jessica Lange. In the 2011 production of Other Desert Cities, she first understudied Channing before later stepping into the role herself.
Her Broadway credits also included productions such as The Glass Menagerie, Blithe Spirit, The Sisters Rosensweig, and Seascape. Theater audiences respected her versatility and professionalism, especially her ability to step into demanding performances while supporting major productions behind the scenes.

Beyond Broadway, the actress also found success on television, especially in daytime soap operas. Jennifer Harmon became widely known for portraying Cathy Craig Lord on ABC’s One Life to Live from 1976 to 1978. Her character became a fan favorite because of the dramatic rivalry with heroine Viki Lord, played by Erika Slezak. The performance earned the actress a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 1978.

She also appeared in the NBC soap How To Survive A Marriage and made guest appearances on television series, including Dallas, Law & Order, Oz, Rescue Me, and The Good Wife. With a career spanning stage and television, the actress leaves behind a legacy remembered by generations of theatergoers and soap opera fans alike.
