Ryan Seacrest Reveals ‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Secret That Even Stunned Vanna White

Ryan Seacrest has settled into his new role as the host of Wheel of Fortune, and he is already pulling back the curtain on how the game show works. During a recent interview, he shared a little-known detail about the set that even longtime co-host Vanna White never realized. The surprising revelation delighted fans and added to the excitement of the show’s 43rd season.

The moment happened while Seacrest promoted the new season on Good Morning America. He explained how the famous wheel makes its signature clicking sound. Many viewers may have assumed the noise came from heavy mechanics, but the truth is far simpler. To everyone’s surprise, including White’s, the wheel’s sound comes from rubber bands—the same kind once used for orthodontic braces.

A Wheel Of Fortune Secret Revealed

According to Fox News, when Seacrest asked White if she knew the answer, she admitted she had no idea. Her genuine surprise added to the fun of the moment, proving that even after decades on the show, there are still things to learn. Seacrest laughed and welcomed her to season 43, turning the discovery into a playful exchange.

This Wheel of Fortune secret came as Seacrest continued to ease into the role left behind by Pat Sajak. Sajak retired in 2024 after 42 years as host, making way for Seacrest’s debut. White, who first joined the show in 1982, extended her contract through the 2025–2026 season, ensuring fans still see the duo on screen together.

A New Era Of Fun And Surprises

The show itself is entering what producers call the “Year of Fun.” Viewers can expect more tournaments, bigger prizes, and extra opportunities to win. Executive producer Bellamie Blackstone praised Seacrest’s warmth and charm, saying his ability to connect with contestants helped fuel last season’s success.

The Wheel of Fortune secret revealed by Seacrest is just one example of the fresh energy he brings to the program. By mixing curiosity, humor, and tradition, he honors the legacy of Sajak while also keeping the show exciting for longtime fans. With White by his side, the new chapter of Wheel of Fortune is shaping up to be both surprising and entertaining.
