The Beatles’ frontman Paul McCartney turned 82 on June 18 and from his celebratory social media post, it appears he is getting “spoilt rotten” by his friends and family. The internet was awash with birthday wishes and tributes for the icon, who recently announced dates for his upcoming performances in South America and Europe this fall.
On social media, Paul shared a snap of himself singing, guitar in hand as usual and a colorful backdrop behind him, to acknowledge his special day. “They say it’s my birthday,” his caption read, “and I’m looking forward to being spoilt rotten by my loved ones.” He still looked agile and youthful for 82 in a light purple shirt and black waistcoat as he raised his arms in the usual rockstar fashion.

This post followed Paul’s announcement telling fans to anticipate getting their tickets for the Got Back Tour, with the European leg starting this December in Paris, France. Performances will continue in Madrid, then Manchester before finally wrapping up in London. This marks Paul’s first time in the UK since the Glastonbury 2022 festival.
Paul talks retirement
After about six decades of entertaining people all over the world as a member of the Fab Four and a solo artist eventually, Paul still has no plans of giving up his guitar just yet regardless of his age. As he declared in a 2021 interview, he does not consider himself old, hence he is not retiring.
The father of five does owe it to genetics for his good looks; however, his lifestyle consisting of a vegetarian diet, a strict workout and yoga routine, and regular sessions at the gym contribute significantly to his youthful demeanor.
