Melanie Griffith stood out in a classically tailored cream suit paired with a chic updo, while Dakota Johnson wore a shimmering sleeveless metallic gown with her hair down. The pair looked radiant as they walked the carpet together, marking one of their few joint appearances in recent years.

The last time fans saw Griffith and Johnson at a formal event was in April 2023, when they attended a screening together. Their reunion this week reminded many of the close bond between the legendary actress and her daughter, who continues to shine in Hollywood.

Rare Public Appearances Together

While Melanie Griffith has often kept a lower public profile, she remains a supportive presence at key moments in Dakota Johnson’s career. The two were last photographed at a luncheon and screening in November 2021 for Johnson’s Netflix film The Lost Daughter. Before that, Griffith joined her daughter at other select Hollywood events, but appearances remain infrequent.

At the Splitsville premiere, Johnson also posed with her co-stars, including David Castañeda, O-T Fagbenle, Adria Arjona, Nicholas Braun, and director Michael Angelo Covino. With Griffith by her side, Johnson celebrated the launch of a project that explores the complexities of modern relationships. The film will debut in select theaters August 22 before opening nationwide on September 5.
