Julie Brown Looks Totally Different During Rare LA Sighting

Julie Brown recently made a surprise appearance during a quiet outing in Los Angeles. On Wednesday, May 21, she was seen taking a walk in casual clothes, nothing like the flashy looks that defined her MTV years. She wore a black jacket, navy shirt, gray leggings, and sneakers, with sunglasses perched on her head.

Even though her style was low-key this time, her bright red hair still stood out, a nod to her signature look from decades ago. Her recent outing was a quiet shift from on screen persona, and this has left fans wondering what she’s been up to.

Julie Brown’s Hollywood journey

Julie Brown’s career began with guest appearances on sitcoms like Laverne & Shirley and Quantum Leap, then added singing to her skill set. One of her comedy songs, The Homecoming Queen’s Got a Gun, became a surprise hit. That opened the door to her 1988 movie Earth Girls Are Easy, which she co-wrote and starred.

She later made Just Say Julie, her own show for MTV, and followed that up with a comedy mockumentary for Showtime, Medusa: Dare to Be Truthful, a parody that won her a Writers Guild Award. In animation, her voice has been behind characters in Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, Batman, and A Goofy Movie. Right now, she’s working on a sequel to Medusa, a musical version of Earth Girls Are Easy, and her first Young Adult novel.
