Janet Jackson Holds Off On Her Biopic Plans As Late Brother Michael’s Movie In Full Swing

Janet and Michael Jackson shared a real connection, especially when they were younger. Among all her brothers and sisters, Janet was closest to Michael growing up. However, things started to shift as Michael’s solo career exploded in the early 1980s. Janet has shared before that her brother changed a bit, saying he wasn’t as fun as he used to be.

She even said he teased her sometimes, which made her feel insecure, even though she tried to laugh it off. Still, despite the changes, their bond never completely disappeared. Over the years, Janet has stayed vocal about her support for Michael. Now, she’s showing that again in a quiet but meaningful way.

Janet Jackson has been offered several big opportunities to tell her life story, either through a musical biopic or a full-scale documentary, but she’s decided to wait. A source close to the family said she doesn’t want to release anything about her own life while the Michael Jackson movie is still in the spotlight.

Janet’s decision also shows how much she respects her niece and nephews, especially the ones handling Michael’s estate. Her nephew Jaafar Jackson, who plays Michael in the movie, is stepping into acting for the first time, and Janet wants the focus to stay on him and her brother’s legacy.
