Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber took a trip down memory lane on a recent episode of their How Rude, Tanneritos! Podcast as they analyzed season three’s “Those Better Not Be the Days.” It saw a flashback scene that may have predicted Fuller House’s plot, where the Tanner girls had to move back home as adults.

Jodie joked that she would love a cut from the flashback, which featured older Bob Saget, Dave Coulier, and John Stamos wearing exaggerated old people makeup, added to the sequel. Melanie Vincz, Julia Montgomery, and Rhonda Shear also portrayed the adult versions of Jodie’s D.J. and Steph and Andrea’s Kimmy Gibbler.

In the 1990 episode, Danny, Joey, and Jesse hate that they have to do everything for the Tanner girls, and they get no appreciation in return. They then imagine what life would be like if the ladies had never moved out or had to return as adults to wait on hand and foot.

Andrea noted that she and Jodie may be older than Melanie, Julia and Rhonda, at the time they portrayed older DJ, Steph, and Kimmy. Jodie joked that they could even parent the trio now while Andrea had a glimpse into how much time had passed, noting that it was so terrifying.

Although she was only 14 at the time, Andrea admitted she was jealous about not playing her older self in season three, adding that they could have aged them up in the sequel to match the flashback. Jayne Modean also played adult Michelle on behalf of the Olsen twins.

The podcast host shared their thoughts on some jokes that did not sit right, such as Couiler and Saget’s body-shaming of older Becky for her wide butt and weight gain, despite having expanded themselves. They also pointed out the sudden interest in older Kimmy from the boys, who seemed like they never cared until she grew up and got prettier.
