On a recent episode of their family podcast, Unashamed, Jase opened up about his father’s condition, and it wasn’t hopeful.
“The number one question I get everywhere I go: ‘How’s your dad doing?’” Jase said. “Now, I’m just giving the blunt truth: I say, ‘Not good.’” It’s a difficult update for fans who’ve followed Phil for years, but Jase made it clear that the family is holding on to their faith in this tough time.

This update is coming months after Jase revealed that his father was struggling with Alzheimer’s. Despite the diagnosis, the Robertson family is staying and doing their best. Jase, 55, says they’re focused on doing what they can, day by day. “We’re doing the best we can,” he shared. “I think that’s just what you do.” He added that it’s not just about treatment anymore. It’s about making Phil comfortable.
Adding to the list of challenges, doctors believe Phil may also have a blood disease affecting his whole body. This has made his condition more complex and difficult to manage. Even with no cure in sight, Jase said they’ve built a team of doctors to find ways to ease the symptoms and give Phil some peace.

While Phil’s health remains worrisome, the family received a bit of good news. Miss Kay, Phil’s wife, is recovering after a serious fall led to an infection. “She’s still in the hospital, but it’s more rehab physically, trying to get her to eat,” Jase said. For a moment, the family feared the worst. “We were kinda dealing with the fact that maybe this is it,” Jase admitted. Thankfully, her condition has taken a turn for the better.
In the midst of the troubles, Duck Dynasty is set to return to A&E this summer. This has given fans something to be excited about. While Phil Robinson will not be returning due to his health and a previous controversy, Uncle Si and Miss Kay will be back.
