In an exclusive video for Mythical Kitchen’s Last Meals episode set to air on Thursday, April 3, the actor revealed how he and his wife made conscious efforts to shield their children from the potential pitfalls of growing up in the spotlight.
During his conversation with host Josh Scherer, Bacon explained that instead of taking them to red carpet events, forcing them to watch his films, or drawing their attention to media coverage about him, the couple chose to maintain a sense of normalcy for their family, thereby preserving their kid’s innocence.

The Footloose star acknowledged that while he decided to take up an acting career and worked hard to achieve fame, it was only for him as his kids never signed up for that type of life when they were born.
Bacon revealed that despite making the choice which he believed was best for them, he understood that growing up with two celebrities as parent could not have been easy for them. He explained that he often encourages his children, who have now taken up careers in the entertainment, to express their feelings, even joking about them venting to their therapists, as they have till now refused to admit that their upbringing posed any difficulties.
