However, Phil Robertson is more known for his religious inclination as a practical Christian who constantly shares insights about his faith with people through books, podcasts, and public appearances. He anchors a podcast, Unashamed with the Robertson Family.
Sadly, being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s means the television star would not effectively function and share his faith with others like he used to do. The family announced his diagnosis in the episode of Unashamed with the Robertson Family podcast held recently. Phil’s son, Jase, shared in detail their father’s condition and how they had been helping him go through it.
“He is struggling,” Jase noted and added that he often experienced pain when walking. Phil Robertson also “misses the stories we tell” on the show as he is “unable to sit down and have a conversation.” The family asked for prayers and support from everyone as they put everything in place to make him comfortable.
Phil Robertson: Christian Faith
Phil Robertson cherishes his religious beliefs even though it has brought him and the Duck Dynasty TV series some backlash when he claimed that being gay is sinful during one of his interviews.
Following the controversial interview, the network airing the television series, A&E immediately suspended Phil Robertson from the show and later canceled the suspension after some conservative supporters argued that he was expressing his beliefs publicly and freely. The actor also prioritizes family life as he is still married to his wife of almost six decades, whom he welcomed his five children with.
